At Jasmine's Kingdom Daycare, we believe healthy eating is an important part of every child's growth, development, learning, and overall well-being. To provide the safest and most individualized nutrition for every child, our daycare follows a Parent-Provided Meals Policy. This approach allows families to choose foods that best meet their child's nutritional needs, personal preferences, allergies, and dietary requirements.
Parents are strongly encouraged to provide all meals, snacks, beverages, bottles, breast milk, infant formula, and any other food items their child will need throughout the day.
Providing meals from home offers several important benefits:
From time to time, we may provide fresh fruit or other simple healthy snacks during special activities or celebrations. Whenever food is provided by our daycare, known food allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions will always be taken into consideration.
Fresh drinking water is available throughout the day. Children are encouraged to stay hydrated during indoor play, outdoor activities, meals, and snacks.
The health and safety of every child is one of our highest priorities. Parents are responsible for informing us of any food allergies, dietary restrictions, food sensitivities, or medical conditions before their child's first day of care and whenever changes occur.
Because families provide their child's meals and snacks, they maintain greater control over ingredients and food preparation, helping reduce the risk of accidental exposure to allergens.
Please clearly label all lunch bags, bottles, cups, food containers, and snack containers with your child's name. If food requires refrigeration, heating, or has special serving instructions, please include those details as well.
Birthdays are special occasions, and we enjoy celebrating each child's special day in a fun, positive, and age-appropriate way.
If birthday treats are brought to daycare, we ask families to follow our current guidelines regarding commercially prepared foods, food allergies, and safe food handling practices.
Parents may provide breast milk, infant formula, bottles, and other age-appropriate nutritional items for infants. Feeding schedules will be followed according to each infant's individual needs while following current health and safety recommendations.
Maintaining a clean eating environment is an important part of keeping children healthy.
Mealtimes provide opportunities for conversation, learning, independence, and social development. Children are encouraged to enjoy meals in a relaxed, positive atmosphere while developing healthy eating habits and age-appropriate table manners.
Parents know their children best. We encourage open communication regarding allergies, food preferences, feeding routines, and nutritional concerns so we can work together to support each child's individual needs.
If you have questions regarding our Meals & Nutrition Policy or your child's dietary needs, we encourage you to contact us. We are always happy to discuss your child's individual nutritional requirements.
